The work of the academic sculptor Lovre Jakšić is made of the highest quality white Brac stone "Sv. Petar". The sculpture was commissioned in memory of the pregnant Ruzica Markobasic and her unborn son Antun, who were killed at Ovcara in 1991.  The project was realized on the initiative of the Croatian Association for Life. The sculpture was ceremoniously unveiled and placed in the center of Vukovar in front of the hospital. This is the second public sculpture of Lovre Jaksic set in Vukovar, the first stone bust was made in 2015. in honor of the French volunteer Jean Michel Nicolier.
